Peer Review Process

Industrial Innovation is a journal published by Politeknik ATK Yogyakarta. Research articles submitted to this journal undergo a double-blind peer-review process by at least one reviewer. Accepted articles will be published online after completing the review process. The language of publication is English.

To ensure originality, all manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism by the editors of Industrial Innovation using several plagiarism detection tools. A manuscript with a similarity index of more than 20% will be rejected immediately. In cases of major plagiarism, the editorial board reserves the right to reject the submission outright. For minor similarity or redundancy, the author will be contacted for clarification and revision.

Review Process:
1. The editor receives the manuscript from the author.
2. The editor evaluates the manuscript for journal aims and scope, adherence to author guidelines, and completeness of supplementary data. (Manuscripts not meeting these criteria will be rejected.)
3. The editor performs a plagiarism screening using online databases. (Manuscripts with major plagiarism or similarity index >20% are rejected; manuscripts with minor similarity may be returned to the author for clarification or correction.)
4. The editor sends the manuscript to reviewers for double-blind peer review, in which both authors and reviewers remain anonymous.
5. Reviewers return their evaluations and recommendations to the editor.
6. The editor makes a decision: reject, request major revision, request minor revision, or accept.
7. The editor communicates the decision to the author. If revision is required, the revised manuscript must be returned promptly. Manuscripts returned later than three months will be considered new submissions.
8. Authors are expected to respond to editorial and reviewer requests as soon as possible to facilitate the publication process.
